Welcome to this Rock-The-Block Blog Hop where you can see a variety of projects using this stamp set and block kit by different CTMH consultants. If you have come here from Rachel’s Blog,  you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here.  There’s more than 30 of us Rockin’ the Block so keep on hopping!
My blocks were designed for my 5 year old.  We’re home schooling him and while we have manipulatives for math, we didn’t have any hands on items for phonics.

He’s learning his phonics, starting to read and now building some words on his own.

We’ll also use them as a kid d├ęcor item to spell out some special words.

Being that they’re kid friendly, I didn’t use any ink on the blocks.  His hands are rarely clean and dry at the same time.  I did paint them with our Create a Shade Pearl Paint before adhering any of the papers.
The blocks were covered with cardstock cut at 1.75” using the Art Philosophy cartridge in Holiday Red, Sunset, Sunny Yellow, Pear, Dutch Blue & Gypsy—all from the Summer Cardstock Combo Pack X5918.  Letters were cut in White Daisy at 1.5” also using the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.
Now "Hop" on over to CC's blog to see her work.....

Remember, the Rock the Block set of blocks with the exclusive E sized stamp set is only available until January 31st! Email me or go online to get this promotional bundle. Get them now before it’s too late. The My Creations® Collage Cubes (a Spring/Summer 2012 sneak-peek product!) will be available all next year but the exclusive Rock the Block Stamp set is only available until January 31st.
