More Pretty in Pink Cards

Hello friends,

I'm back with a follow up post to my blog hop post.  I had mentioned that I had more artwork coming!

On Friday, I posted 3 cards using sketch #4 from the new Make It From Your Heart vol 4 using the Sunny Thoughts S1802 Stamp of the Month.  Here's 3 more cards using 3 more stamp sets.

The background behind the circle was stamped wtih splash of Color D1733 in Bashful Exclusive Inks.  I rotated the stamp more than a quarter turn to make the splash look more random.

Blog Hops with Heart

I know it's been ages since I've been part of a blog hop.  So here's a little reminder of how they work.  They're a fun way to visit a few blogs and end back up here.  We're all posting artwork with a common theme "Pretty in Pink."  At the bottom of my post is a link to the next blog.

With the February 2018 Pretty in Pink special came a beautiful butterfly mobile.  This was the start of my inspiration for my cards.  You can purchase pink items for 25% off in February or select bundles for a 30% discount.

I used the butterfly from Artiste Cricut Bundle for my cards in gold foil as shown on the mobile.  You can purchase all the supplies for the mobile in a custom bundle this month or make cards like I did.

I used one of the patterns from our newest How To Book Make It From Your Heart vol 4 for this card.  This was a horizontal card but I've turned it to make it a standard upright card.  I added embossing to the Bashful piece with our Rose Embossing Folder. 

I used this month's Stamp Of The Month, Sunny Thoughts S1802.

I did a little surgical alteration of my stamps.  This is the stamp that used to say "hello sunshine"

I used the cork shapes from Gimme Some Sugar to embellish my cards because I liked the additional texture they added and they're super flat for mailing.  I started with the Gold Glitter Gems that are part of the Pretty in Pink sale but ultimately stuck with the cork ones.  

This one used to to say "wishing you warm birthday wishes."  This one was a little more tricky to alter but not a problem with our micro tip scissors.

The Thank You stamp was the only one who escaped stamp surgery. All of the sentiments were stamped in Raspberry ink.

Behind the circle I stamped the square from Splash Of Color D1733.

This stamp set isn't solid and looks best when layered.  In this case I rotated the squarish stamp more than 90° between impressions.  I used Bashful ink.  

There are tons of stamps you can use for these cards that fit in a 2.25" circle.  Check back for my next post featuring these cards with 3 other stamp sets and more details on my box.

Sunny Thanks

I've thoroughly enjoyed this month's Stamp of the Month Sunny Thoughts S1802.

I love the bold scripty sentiments that are big enough to read and stamp so beautifully.  

Today, I'm featuring 2 more cards that both use the Thank You stamp from this set as well as the Chelsea Gardens Cardmaking Stamp Set & Thin Cuts.  

This first card is a spin-off of the card I posted last week.  When I made that card, I random stamped 2 background pieces.  This one I jazzed up with Raspberry ink on the sentiment and on the flowers.  You can see that this transforms this card with a big pop of color.  

I also used the Gold Glitter gems that I colored with my Cherry Pink Shin Han TouchTwin Marker.  You can still see they have the sparkly glitter showing through the now pink gem.  

In this second card, I used the Chelsea Gardens papers and some white shimmer trim.  Both of these cards also feature the new-LIMITED EDITION Bashful Shimmer Brush Z3400https://lharris.closetomyheart.com/retail/search.aspx?searchvalue=shimmer+brush.  You'll want to get it now as they're a product only featured in this Seasonal Expressions catalog cycle and they will not be reordered.  They have a hint of Bashful color as well as beautiful pink glitter.  You can see the color on the butterflies.  I didn't color them with anything else.  

The only bad news I have in this post is that the butterfly Thin Cuts have sold out.  But the stamp set and papers are still available to order.

Warm Birthday Wishes

Happy Weekend friends!  

Here's another card I created using the Sunny Thoughts Stamp of the Month.  It's soft pink and greys and it's turned out lovely.  BUT I have to say, this one was so out of my comfort zone.  I'm not a pastel loving gal.  (See previous post for my regular style)

But I will say that it works really well for the Pretty In Pink Sale this month.  The Bashful Ink, Cardstock, Gold Glitter and Foil papers are all on sale.  The best part is I made this card in mid-January before I knew anything about the sale. 

For the background, I used the 3 smallest flower sprays on one block and random stamped them together in Bashful ink on the darker side of the Bashful cardstock. (Yes, our cardstock is double sided and the back is a lighter shade!)

For the banner, I used the lighter side of the Mink Cardstock and stamped the sentiment in Heather.  Behind the banner is another piece of Mink.  This is darker shade is the 100% full color sided of Mink.  That's why these two pieces coordinate so well!  

To embellish this, I cut a couple hearts from gold glitter paper, a scallop border from gold foil paper and Blush Shimmer Ribbon.  All products are from Close to My Heart.
