You’ve Got A Friend! May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Well friends, if you’re reading this, we’ve just wrapped up an amazing month of April!  It’s now on to May, my favorite month of the Close to My Heart calendar!  It’s near and dear to my heart for two reasons.  One it’s the month I signed up as a consultant THREE years ago!  Another is the National Scrapbooking Day (or Month) specials.  Together they make an exciting and fun month.

I used the card design from the Originals How-To book by Jeanette Lynton.  The design is called “Pretty Simple” and you can download this design here.  It’s one of 3 patterns that we are encouraged share with you so you can preview how these amazing books work.  (You’ll be seeing more of them as the month goes on)

You can see that I stamped a little “out of the box” with the mustache.  I layered the mustache in Cocoa over the whole image that was stamped in Lagoon.  I also matted the squares with cardstock from our “Free to Be Me” paper pack.  That’s it!  I know this is a very simple card, but it’s fast!  And sometimes, you just need to create a quick card!

Artiste Cricut: A few of my favorite projects

I’m not publishing these projects in any particular order tonight.  They’re in the order my pictures were imported into my blog writer. 

3D shoe treat box or decoration.  They’re adorable and they’re perfect for a little girl and her doll or the next baby shower. 

Hexagon box.  Make it a treat holder or album, it’s up to you!

Simple label shape.  It’s one of the shapes used for the Casual Expressions stamp set.  A favorite of mine because nearly every stamp has a corresponding shape on the Artiste cartridge.

Cupcake cards!  They are so easy and fun!

A cube.  Six simple sides, endless possibilities!

Hot Air balloons and clouds! 

20 sided ball!  Now I know why the book recommended a 1” size.  Cut at 2.5 inches, it’s huge and fun!

Another gift card holder!  This one is 5.5 inches and fits in a standard A2 card envelope.  The flower and leaf are also from Artiste and they are coordinating shapes so the leaf always matches the size of your flower.  No guess work required.
