Postcard Perfect Iced Coffee

Happy Monday Crafty Friends!

Here's a refreshing card to kick off the week!  Each year this last week of May (yes, I know it's now July) is the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!  Here's the first one of my Coffee and or Tea themed projects.

This mason jar is was only available in May 2018.  Yep, I started this post when it was actually May.    

The REALLY good news is that the paper pack is still available in July 2018!  It's called Postcard Perfect and you can find it here on my website.  

The middle row of papers are Vellum and embossed in white.  But since you can't see white on white, they shaded it in.

Explosion Box Album

Hello crafty friends!

Today's post is giving you a little bit more info about a workshop I'm holding a couple times this spring.  I call it the "Important Things Box."  Last month Close to My Heart had a scrapbooking bundle called the Important Things.  It featured journaling prompts to go with specific photos.  It was a 6x8 album that was designed to help you record important aspects of your life.

I took this idea, the April Stamp of the Month and a challenge to create an explosion box and melded them all together.

An explosion box is a cube that falls open when the lid is lifted off.  Some boxes had more flaps inside, others had Easter treat baskets.  Mine's a mini album.

This album was super easy to make.  The sticky tabs on the flip flaps are used to make the album so very little additional adhesive is needed.

Happy 29ish birthday

Card making and scrapbooking inspiration can come from anywhere.  Today's card was inspired by what I found in the baking aisle at Winco (a local grocer) last summer when I was preparing for my son's birthday.

There's also a little bit of history to the 29 and holding idea.  We were out to celebrate my mom's  birthday and one of her grandsons asked how old she was and she replied, "29."  I remember celebrating the 20th anniversary of her 29th birthday with a handmade card was a teenager.  

Back to the inspiration.  Aren't these candles fun???

I took additional inspiration from the card featured in our Seasonal Expressions catalog.  I even used Tangerine as my accent color for the pop of bright color.  I'm so glad the Teal Shimmer Trim is back for a bit.  It's now called the "Make Waves Shimmer Trim" but it's the same wonderful color as before.  Don't wait around; it will only be here for a little while longer.  The striped paper is from Chelsea Gardens.

ish is simply a circle with the letters "attached" in Design Space.  The font is from Artistry.  I love negative space items because I don't have to keep track of the teeny dot over the "i" in projects like these.  Here's a link to the file.  This file also stars for an upcoming card I created with the Stamp of the Month.  It will be on the blog soon.

I've started creating card kits to send to my customers who order the Stamp of the Month (SOTM) S1803 Birthday Time for $5. I cannot do this without my customers so I've decided to celebrate you!  You'll receive this 5 card pre-cut kit when you order the SOTM for $5.  That means you've placed a wonderful $50+ order on my website of regular priced, promo & clearance items and I'm ever so thankful.

Meet Chelsea Gardens

Hello friends,

Today I have a new paper pack I'd like to introduce.  Chelsea Gardens is a pack with soft greens and greys and butterflies.

I paired the cardmaking stamp set with coordinating thin cuts with the January Stamp of the Month.

I stamped and embossed the branch and butterfly in silver on vellum paper.  Vellum is easy to emboss.  In fact, that's a fool proof way to guarantee your ink won't smear before drying. To make the muted colors of the butterfly, I colored on the back of the vellum after embossing.  And for the leaves, I colored on the back and then flipped it back over and added a bit more green to darken half of each leaf.

A Foxy Hello

Happy June 1st!

Today I'm sharing with you a stationery folder I created using the new June Stamp of the month, Hello Foxy.

My kit is called A Foxy Hello because I don't want you to think that this is a romantic card kit.  

This stamp is just $5 with a $50 order this month.  Or $17.95 purchased on its own.  

I'm having a Crafter Afternoon on Sunday, June 25th at 3pm.  

Participants will create the folder and these 8 cards.  

I used my favorite colors, Cranberry and Lagoon to accent these cards.

This card folder and the cards were designed by Cassie Ingersoll using another stamp set this winter. She's a sister CTMH consultant in New South Wales, Australia!  If you are part of Naomi's Connected Hearts team, you'll find the instructions in the Connected Hearts Facebook Group in the files.  

To complete these cards I use our Shin Han Markers, Gold Sequins, Journaling Pen and Extra Thin 3D foam tape to complete the cards.   All images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink because this is the best ink for working with alcohol markers.  

When you attend my workshop, you'll get a Journaling Pen & a full pack of Extra Thin 3D Foam tape in your kit.  

When you attend this workshop, you'll be able to any of my sentiment stamps to customize this kit to your needs.  

This card used the Cherry Pink instead of Carmine.  Both will work!

I blended Marigold with Pastel Peach for the foxes.  I also used Pastel Peach on the fox face.

2. Request a pre-stamped kit, local pick up or shipped $22, shipping $6.
3. Place a $55 order on my website that includes S1706 Hello Foxy and Extra Thin 3D foam tape. You can receive the paper portion + sequins of this kit for $10 shipped.  (Journaling pen and 3D Foam Tape will not be included.  Kit will be unstamped) 

Message me to receive a PayPal invoice or my address to send a check.  Kits will be shipped the week of June 26 if your order is placed by June 18th.  Kits ordered in June after the 18th will be shipped by July 15th.
