Card kits are back!

I'm just going to jump in here and announce that I'm back to making kits!  

This month and in November, I'm gifting one or both of these kits to you for free with purchase.  With a small purchase, I'll send you a cutting guide.  With a $75 purchase, I'll send you the cutting diagram and papers, embellishments and die-cuts for these cards kits.

You have the choice of a Little Latte or Snowy Wonder.  Each kit is 4 Fun Fold cards that will include the patterned papers, cardstock, die-cuts and embellishments.  Stamped images are not included so you'll need to grab the coordinating stamp set or use one from your stash.  StampinUp! is first and foremost a stamp company and they do not allow me to provide unfinished stamped images.

Not only are these fun fold cards, they can also be gift card holders!   I love the versatility of them because if you don't include a gift card, your recipient will never know it was a gift card holder.  Isn't that sneaky?

First Card of the Year!

I pulled out my Hello Lovely paper yesterday morning after seeing my hunny off to work at 5 o'dark this morning on an extremely cold for us morning.  I needed to see some pretty spring papers!

As soon as I saw this floral print, I knew I wanted to make another V-pleated card similar to the one I created last spring.  You can see it and the tutorial for this card here.

I used the Ranunculus flower from Flower Market and the leaves from the Rose.

Here's my Design Space File for the flower.

I cut the flower with Fern, Colonial White, Sorbet and the light Sorbet B&T from the paper pack.

I didn't need a lot embellishments so I used the new Gold Glitter Gems and a strip of  Rose Gold Foil Tape.

The My Creations Cubby is on the While Supplies Last list so I don't know how much longer it will be available.  With that, I'm holding one more workshop on Friday, July 31st at 6:30 pm at my home in Everett, WA.

Cost is $40 for the workshop, including adhesives and basic embellishments. If you have a cubby already, your fee can be reduced.

Artbooking Sentiments List

I've been playing with Artbooking this weekend, trying to make a card only using the cartridge and the Frosted paper pack.  It shouldn't be that hard, really but there's so many great sentiments!   I've been having trouble keeping track of them and remembering where they were on the cartridge.
I created this little guide that has all of the sentiments listed in alphabetical order! Enjoy!

Cricut Craft Room: My newest favorite tool, especially for the CTMH Advent Calendar.

From day 1 of Cricut ownership I’ve owned a program to help me get the most from my cardstock when cutting on my Cricut.  First it was Design Studio.  Then it was a Gypsy (which I still love) but now it’s Cricut Craft Room (CCR) because it’s faster and I can easily share my projects with you. 
Last month I shared my beautiful Advent Calendar with you which is only available as a workshop with purchase.  Today’s a freebie! 
If you are getting ready to cut out the Advent Calendar Workshop on the Go, this is for you!

If you cut two boxes without Cricut Craft Room, it’s going to look like this and you’re going to be left with 2 scraps that are approximately 2.5 x 8.5.”  That’s not much useable paper.  You may end up tossing the whole scrap if you don’t have the time to salvage the scraps.

By flipping one of the boxes, you’ll have a beautiful piece of paper with.  It’s about 5.5 x 9” long.  So it can be either a large scrap of paper or an A2 sized card base!  It’s also cut along with your boxes so your scrap is pre-cut!  How wonderful is that????

How about a swing card?  It’s found on the keypad under the letter “S” and fits right between the two boxes.   That’s like getting a free card with every sheet you cut for the Advent Calendar! 

Wondering what this swing card is all about?  See my post here.  They make up beautifully and are a lot of fun!   I’ve also rotated the boxes so that the repeated cutting doesn’t ruin your mat.  You’ll be cutting 15 sheets to make the Advent calendar, this is a great way to keep your mat in good condition. 


So that’s my little Cricut Craft Room tutorial for today.  The best part is Cricut Craft Room is 100% free.  You still have to own the Cricut Cartridge you’re cutting with.  (You can purchase Artiste here.).
