There's always time for tea

Happy Monday Friends!

Here's some beautiful cards to perk you right up today!

But hold the coffee, they're all about tea.

The Beautiful Friendship paper pack was very tea themed, it even had a whole sheet of paper with beautiful teacups.  But today, I'm taking that coordinating stamp set Beautiful Friendship - Cardmaking C1720 and using it with other papers featured in the Seasonal Expressions 2 catalog.

This first card features the lovely Documented paper suite.  Documented does not explain how beautiful this paper is with the purples, pinks and golds mixed with greys.  If you looked at the scrapbooking kit and coordinating stamp set you'd see why it's called Documented.

I stamped the teacup and sentiment on one of our new stitched Thin Cut Circles.  Don't forget about our rose embossing folder that I introduced nearly a year ago.  It's still available!

This second card is from the Central Park paper suite.  It's so whimsical with houses, watercolored dots and bright colors.  I stamped the tea cups and then colored them in with our Shin Han markers and various stamps.  It was a lot of fun to make each one unique.

And I believe this is the LAST of my posts that were destined for the Coffee Loving Paper Crafters blog hop back in May!  Whew, I finally got them posted.  :)

With joy in my heart and coffee (not tea) in my cup, have a great day!

It's a "Use It Up" Blog Hop!

Hello friends,

Here's a Friday evening post because I'm teaming up with some girlfriends from across North America to present a little blog hop.  Welcome if you're coming to Katy's blog.  You'll be hopping in a circle and seeing it again in a couple hops.

It's the end of July and just over a month away from a new Catalog.  Our 2017-2018 catalog and Idea Book was extended thru August 31 to make way for 1 GINORMOUS 4 month catalog.  No more looking between 2 catalogs for a while.

Since this was announced, we're learning that a few items and colors are being discontinued after being around for a year or 20+ years.  Cranberry and Crystal Blue are retiring.  They were part of the D.O.T.S. color pallet as far as I know.

My first card features Poppy, Crystal Blue, Pacifica (all retiring) and Lemon.

I've been making a few simple cards lately that use the fun cuts on the Artistry Cricut cartridge that I just haven't had a chance to use before.  I've looked at this kite many times but never made it, so here it is!

My second card is this adorable ice cream cone.  Once again, it's from the Artistry Cricut Cartridge!  These Cricut Bundles are changing in September.  They'll be $10 cheaper... but that's because they're removing the paper pack that's included.  Get it now and get a better deal with the paper!

This card features Blossom, Flaxen and Poppy (all retiring) and the Basics Fundamentals paper pack that's already sold out.  The strip of glitter paper is very old retired pink glitter paper when we sold 3 shades of a color per pack of glitter paper.

This card was inspired by Angie's ice cream cone card I saw on her Instagram.

So now that you've seen my cards where's I'm using it up, please keep hopping to see more!

Please hop on over to Jayma's blog to see her use it up creation.

With joy in my heart and coffee in my cup, have a great weekend!

Starburst Cards & Big Dies

Hello friends,
Have you ever made a sunburst card?  I have several bursting cards to show you and a how-to video in today's post

In this first card, I used an array of pink and red cardstock.  Our cardstock is now double sided which means the backside is a lighter version of the front.  (There's always been color on both sides).  This opens up so many wonderful options for new colors!

To get started, you need 3 strips of paper each cut 1x12".  Then take them and cut them again so you have 5 & 7" segments. Now cut them diagonally to make long skinny triangles.
You'll be glueing them down to a base sheet and grabbing your paper trimmer to clean up the edges.

Here's the video showing you how I did it.

Now let's talk about the very front of the card.  Aren't these dies amazing?  They make creating a birthday or thank you card so quick and easy.

They cut cardstock, vellum, foils and glitter paper beautifully.

Colors for our local Highschool.  I snipped off the candles.  I also made the sunburst panel 1/8" smaller overall so I could matte it in black.

Football colors!  You'll get to make this card at my Football Fan workshop https://www.facebook.com/CraftyLalia/events on Aug 21st.  Kits are available!

Don't forget, when you spend $50 on my website in any month, you'll receive happy mail from me! Often, but not always, they are pre-cut card kits of some of the cards I've featured on this blog, but not always!

With joy in my heart and coffee in my cup, have a great day!

Postcard Perfect Iced Coffee

Happy Monday Crafty Friends!

Here's a refreshing card to kick off the week!  Each year this last week of May (yes, I know it's now July) is the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!  Here's the first one of my Coffee and or Tea themed projects.

This mason jar is was only available in May 2018.  Yep, I started this post when it was actually May.

The REALLY good news is that the paper pack is still available in July 2018!  It's called Postcard Perfect and you can find it here on my website.

The middle row of papers are Vellum and embossed in white.  But since you can't see white on white, they shaded it in.

Here's another Postcard Perfect Card.  Even a small strip of that beautiful tropical paper has a big impact!  The stamp set used on this card is the Beautiful Friendship - Cardmaking Stamp with Thin Cuts bundle.  It's about to sell out so if you love it, buy it NOW.  This a bundle.  If you order the dies, you'll always get the stamps.

With joy in my heart and coffee in my cup, have a great week

Beautiful Friendship (with Tea)

Hello morning friends,

This weekend I was playing with the Beautiful Friendship papers and coordinating stamp & thin cut set (The die is almost sold out).  I finally cut into the teacup paper for my card workshop and now it's almost gone!

I also had cut a bunch of latte cups at 3" from the Artistry Cricut Cartridge.  I used the die from the teacup set for the tag and Short & Sweet stamp set.  Our mini-stapler to attach the string.  I love this effect!  See the sparkles on the lid?  I love our shimmer brushes!  They're so sparkly and don't rub off unless you apply too much.

Last but not least, is my Impossible Card that I created a few weeks back.

This bundle of stamps & dies is a steal at only $22.95.  But don't wait long.  There's less than 150 of these bundles remaining!
