Create Every Day–Day 2
Here’s the one for today’s challenge. It’s a brand new card that I created from scratch.

This is a block card or baby block card. It has various names and all of them usually point you to another card design. I used this blogger’s instructions for my first card. Her video’s great. Really clear and you really only need to watch it halfway through to get the measurements.
All of the diecuts are from my stash, including the daisies that I had assembled a couple years ago. They’re from button 1 on the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.
This card folds flat! I forgot to take a pic of that! Maybe I’ll take more pix of the next card.
I’m off to my craft room! Can’t wait to show you what’s next!

Create Every Day Challenge Day 1
Here’s day 1.
I used the Lollydoodle Paper Pack with the retired A Bow Wow. Notice how I didn’t color in the whole dog? Just a little bit of ink does wonders! My workshop gals loved this card—especially the fact they didn’t have to color too much!
Lollydoodle is retiring at the end of the month! Be sure to order and get yours before it runs out!
Don’t forget, that with a $35+ purchase, you can receive some exclusive Hostess Only goodies between now & 7/14/14. Find out how by reading all about it HERE.
Be sure to follow my Facebook Page for ALL of the daily challenge posts.
Want to join me? You don’t need any fancy pictures but I’d love to see what you’ve been creating. Feel free to post a pic on the Crafty Lalia Facebook page.

Happy Birthday with Later Sk8r papers
Hello friends! Here’s a very simple card for the boys! I used the new Later Sk8r paper pack which is full of paint, stains and fun.
I had started with the sketch featuring the card that says Hugs by Lisa Stenz (click this pic to see the card). This card design is from the new Make It From Your Heart Vol I how-to guide. (It’s a Volume 1 guide, which means more will come and this one will be discontinued so get it now). I had this card in mind for a workshop so I wanted it simple as possible with lots of fun. And it worked! Instead of stamping a round or square element that’s to top each of the bars of paper, with the Perfect Fit—Birthday stamp set B1417 on pg 95 of the Idea Book, I used the Artiste Cricut Cartridge to make this gear border on pg 39 of the Artiste handbook. I cut it at 1.75” tall and it makes enough for exactly two cards! (That’s a workshop planner’s dream come true!) The happy birthday sentiment that I ended up using down below does come that same set “Perfect Fit—Birthday”
So here you have it. I love the fun, shiny, new epoxy bubbles give a beautiful non-girly sparkle to any card. And one that you can make in just a few minutes!
It just so happens that this week’s color challenge is Lagoon, Outdoor Denim and Pear over at the Color My Heart Blog so I’m entering it in Dare # 32.

For Always Birthday Card
Here’s a card I created for a team swap this week. It’s featuring 4 new products in the Spring and Summer Idea Book.
For Always is a great black and white paper pack that’s going to be so versatile. As soon as I get another stamp set called “The Happy Couple” I’m going to swap the sentiment out to make a congrats card for a couple getting married soon. That’s the great thing about making a card with the sentiment at the bottom. One design will make unlimited possibilities!
The sentiment is from my favorite stamp set, “Joyful Birthday.” It’s just four birthday sentiments. Two are horizontal like the one below. Two are stacked (Happy above the word birthday). I used a different stamp image on the Buzz & Bumble card I made last week.
Recognize the flower? It’s the same one from this blog post with the beautiful and colorful cascading card. I added a little sparkle to the flower with the new to last fall silver metallic marker. I just followed the stamped dots around the center of the flower. I also popped one of these new self adhesive flowers in the middle. It’s part of the Claire Assortment. I also added a bitty sparkle to the center. The black tulle was introduced last fall but I was so busy making Christmas cards, I never had much of a chance to play with it. It’s very fun and versatile. You also get 10 yards of it!
I was sneaky when cutting the border from Ruby Cardstock. It's actually the "belly band" for a card in Artiste. You'll find it on page 41 of the Artiste hand book under shift-card. As this is part of a larger project (the card), you'll want to use the Real Dial Size feature on your Cricut. And at that, it still wasn't quite to the real size. For this card, I cut it at 2 3/4" tall and it came out about 1 1/2" tall (so much for real dial size). Then I cut it in half length-wise for the card. You'll get enough for two cards which I'm all for. There will be a couple little score marks created as this was supposed to fold around a card. However, they're hardly noticeable and not an issue.
I’m linking this card up to the Close to My Heart color dare challenge blog this week. Their challenge was “Black & White with a "pop" of One Other Color.” You can see the rest of the entries here.
I can’t wait to share these new products with you! If you’d like an Idea Book, let me know! They’re free, just pay any shipping! I’ll even refund their shipping when you place an order over $40! Click here to request one.
Have a great day!

Buzz and Bumble
Today’s card is made from the new Buzz and Bumble paper pack from the 2013 spring and summer idea book. Unlike Chantilly, it has a very earthy and organic feel to it. I think it has a bit of masculine feel to it too all while being a paper pack that I’d call a summer floral. Could this be the perfect all-around paper pack?
I paired it with the new Joyful Birthday stamp set B1419 which has 4 versions of “Happy Birthday” in varying fonts and flair. I love having one stamp set that I can go to and then pick the mood of the sentiment from there. We also have a burlap baker’s twine! It’s a fun pairing of baker’s twine and the burlap that we were introduced to last fall but without any mess and virtually no burlap smell. It’s part of the new Wooden Mini-Medley Accents Collection. More coming on that soon!
Last but not least, this card is designed from this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch which I’ll be linking up to before the end of the day.
Hope you have some time to craft today! Stay tuned for more cards. I’m off to design cards for my “Fun & Fabulous 4th Friday” card workshop that’s coming in 7 days (after I finish homeschooling, grocery shopping and swim lessons). Let me know if you want to come. Email me for details or to RSVP for next Friday night!
