Pemberley & Art Philosophy Birthday Card

A simple little Happy Birthday card today.  This is featuring a bit from Pemberley with some Sweet Leaf added to it.  The stamp set is Just For You.

  1. Oh I love this one!!! How did you ink the flower in two-tone? I would love to know how to make the leaves! Nice!

  2. First, the stamp was positioned at the very edge of the block where the second color is going to be. The flower petal was inked all over first in Crystal Blue (because it’s the lightest and going into a darker color won’t contaminate a darker ink pad). Then into Indian Corn Blue, but only half of the stamp. Then you stamp on the paper. That’s all there is to it!

    Some stamps work better than others, this one works beautifully!

    The leaves are cut on the Cricut Cartridge. It's the leaf on the bottom row. I fold them in half and put them through the Fiskars crimper. (See here: http://www.joann.com/fiskars-paper-crimper/prd23450/) Then they are inked with Garden Green. It takes only a couple tries to get the right angle for the leaves.
